Students love talking about what they are reading, especially those books they chose to read. Help keep the conversations going with this Directed Drawing Book Review Display. This is a fun way to share the books students read.
Directed Drawing Book Review

Directed Drawing Book Review Steps:

- Make a V in the middle of the paper for the top of the book.
- Move over about half an inch from the vertex on each side to create the spine of the book.
- Now make curves from the vertex out to the sides of the page to create the pages of the book.
- Create a large half circle peeking out from the book to create the head of the reader.
- Now draw hair, eyes, nose, and a mouth.
- Draw the four fingers of each hand holding the book. (The thumbs are on the inside of the book when you hold a book so they are hidden).
- Write the Title and Author on the cover of the book.
- Write the Title on the Spine
- Write your review on the back of the book.
- Trace EVERYTHING (words included) with a Sharpie.
- Erase any stray pencil marks.
- Paint with watercolor.
- Display your Review!
