Making Morning Work Meaningful

Such a great way to make morning work meaningful. My students are able to show what they know. I love the data collection sheets to track student learning. Morning work time is helping guide my teaching!

Do you ever feel like those first minutes of the day are wasted?  If only you could have a morning work routine that helped all students while you completed all of the morning tasks required each day.

Is this you?

I have a way to help! The Morning Work Bundle.

This morning work bundle has everything you need for the entire year.

What’s included in this Morning Work Bundle? (Keep Reading to Grab Your FREE Sample!)

Daily Practice

The bundle has 180 days of assessments for Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.  Each day, students review or preview topics in each subject.

The science and social studies questions use specific key words to guide students in researching answers.  These are great questions to get them started in using indexes and online searches to find answers.  Research is a key component of the 21st Century Learning Standards.

These daily assessments give students ample practice in social studies, science, math, and ELA.

Answer keys are provided for easy grading.

Data Collection

Data collection sheets with standards and topics help you track student learning.  These graphs are great to use in parent conferences.  You can also use them for collecting data for intervention meetings.

These morning work data collection guides are great tools to track student learning and share with teams and parents.

Quizzes

Each quarter you will know areas of success and weakness in each subject area. These tests review the big ideas covered in the questions for that quarter.  There is one test for each subject.

These end-of-quarter quizzes are great for assessing what the students learned throughout the quarter.

Review tests are provided for each subject.

Who is this Morning Work Bundle for?

These bundles are available for 3rd, 4th grade and 5th teachers, homeschool teachers and parents.

Third Grade Bundle

Fourth Grade Bundle

Fifth Grade Bundle

What I Love About This Morning Work Bundle:

By the time testing comes around, I know exactly which areas students need review.  I also get more than enough grades in each subject with the end of quarter tests.  I love how my students get the chance to really show what they know!

The data collection guides are a great tool to have on hand for any intervention meetings.  Looking at these guides allows the chance to see what areas I may need for small group or whole group reteaching.

Just wondering how you get the free sample? I don’t see a clickable link except one that takes you to TPT. I don’t see a sample there either, just a tiny preview, but nothing I could try out.

It is at the bottom of the article just under the paragraph “What I Love About this Product.” There is an image just below it. I hope this helps. Thanks for reaching out.

[…] 7. Morning Work Packets Having morning work packets set up at the entrance of the classroom doesn’t just make your life easier – but the students’ as well. For example, if a student walks in late to class one day, he/she will (awkwardly) grab the packets and sit down. However, without packets, that same student could disrupt the class by asking his/her neighbor for a recap of the material. Finally, even if the student is on time, it’s just a good way to keep the student engaged and thinking about the topic at hand.
